Oura Ring for the Win
Finding a way to track my activity, along with other aspects of overall well-being, was important to me. I was not looking for the latest trend. The goal was something sustainable for daily life.

This was my last attempt at finding an option that would not lead to skin irritation while still providing meaningful feedback on day to day living.
I can unequivocally say the Oura Ring delivers more than expected. It tracks physical activity, sleep, readiness, heart rate, and more, all without irritating my skin. It gives me a better sense of when to push through a day and when to rest.
My model is the Oura Ring 4, metallic black. There are several other color and style options available, and a sizing kit can be purchased to ensure the correct fit. During setup, wearing the ring on the pointer finger is recommended. That is where I wear mine, and it has become a seamless part of the day.
That said, I have several friends who also wear the ring on different fingers and still report accurate tracking and strong results. The flexibility in wear makes it even easier to incorporate into daily life.
Another aspect that has worked well is the battery life and charging process. I am not constantly thinking about when it needs to be charged. When it does, the process is simple and quick, and it fits easily into a daily routine without disruption.
The greatest value is the complete picture it provides. Activity trends are easy to review, along with sleep quality, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and daily heart rate patterns. The data is informative without feeling overwhelming.
You can see the ring here, simple, unobtrusive, and easy to wear.
Watching these trends improve since retirement has been especially meaningful. That alone has made the investment worthwhile.
If the goal is better awareness of overall well-being without constant interference, the Oura Ring delivers.
